Grant's Braes School is a state co-educational Dunedin Primary School catering for students from Years 1 to 6. It is located in the Waverley suburb of Dunedin and has a decile 10 rating. Grant's Braes School was opened on its present site in 1950 and over the years has undergone considerable upgrades and modernisation to ensure it's place as one of the leading primary schools in Dunedin.
Grant's Braes students excel and exceed the expected standards in curriculum and extra-curriculum activities with many students going on to be leaders in many parts of their community.
After discussions with the students, the staff, the Board of Trustees and the parent community through our 2017 consultation our vision and values that we want Grant's Braes School students to be striving for have been revamped.
Vision:
Kia tūhura, kia kite, kia mahi kātahi.
To explore, discover and learn together
Values:
E kumanu ana, E ako ana, E āhei ana, E mahi kātahi ana!
We Care, We Learn, We Can, We Are!
The vision with the values will underpin everything that we do at Grant's Braes School, including how we interact with each other and the delivery of the curriculum.
